What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. We also use similar technologies such as local storage. Some are essential for the website to function. Others are optional and only used with your permission.
Necessary technologies
These are required to run the site securely and to remember your privacy choices. They cannot be switched off. Shopify may also set necessary checkout, payment, security and cart cookies once you continue to the Shopify-hosted checkout to complete a purchase.
Analytics technologies
With your Analytics consent we use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to help us understand how visitors use metrosupplies.co.uk and to improve our content, products and website performance. Google Analytics may measure page views, product views, checkout starts, successful enquiry submissions, scrolling, outbound clicks, file downloads and video engagement. Successful enquiry events contain fixed event metadata only. We never send enquiry-form fields, names, email addresses, phone numbers, postcodes, business names, messages or other customer-entered information to Google Analytics. Google Analytics is separate from Meta Pixel and from Marketing consent. Email redaction is enabled in the GA4 property, Google Signals is disabled and user-provided data collection is disabled. You can withdraw Analytics consent at any time using the link in the footer. See the Google Privacy Policy and Google Analytics opt-out.
Marketing technologies
With your Marketing consent we activate Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. After Marketing consent, Meta Pixel measures page views, product-page views, checkout starts (when you deliberately proceed towards Shopify Checkout) and successful enquiry submissions. The Lead event contains only fixed event metadata (enquiry category, form location and submission status); it does not contain enquiry-form fields, customer contact information or message contents. Meta Pixel does not load, initialise or contact Meta before you grant Marketing consent, and is separate from Analytics consent. You can withdraw consent at any time using the link in the footer. See the Meta Privacy Policy and Meta Cookies Policy. Withdrawing consent stops future website tracking, but does not automatically delete information already received by Meta.

Third-party services
We use Shopify to process orders and payments. When you continue to checkout, Shopify becomes an independent data controller for that transaction. See the Shopify Privacy Policy.
How to change or withdraw consent
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the link in the website footer. Withdrawing optional consent is as easy as granting it and takes effect immediately. Withdrawing consent does not delete information already received by a third-party provider before that point.
Browser controls
Most browsers let you view, delete and block cookies through their settings. Blocking all cookies may prevent parts of the website from working. Guidance on cookies from the UK regulator is available at ico.org.uk.
